Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
2. Remove the wire harness rosebuds from the hinge arm.
3. Remove the torque rods. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Torque Rod Replacement .
4. Remove the trim panel from the rear window. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Sedan) Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) .




5. Remove the compartment lid hinge nuts.
6. Remove the compartment lid hinge.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment lid hinge.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the hinge nuts to the rear window panel.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the trim panel to the rear window shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Sedan) Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) .
4. Install the torque rods. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Torque Rod Replacement .
5. Install the compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
6. Install the wire harness rosebuds to the hinge arm.
7. Adjust the compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment .
