Rear Side Door Window Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Apply masking tape to the outer applique and frame.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel.
3. Remove the rear door water deflector.
4. Remove the rear door window inner belt sealing strip.
5. Raise the window far enough in order to gain access to the nylon peg (1) through a hole in the regulator run channel (2) that attaches the window to the regulator.
6. Remove the center nylon peg (1) that attaches the window guide channel (3) to the window (4). Use a 1/8 in drift driver to remove the center peg. Lightly tap the pin out of the center.
7. Lift and remove the window (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Insert the spreader plug (2) and spreader pin (1) into the window.
2. Set the spreader plug projection on each side of the window.
3. Guide the window into the door (5).
4. Insert the door window (3) into the lift rail guide slot (4).
5. Lightly tap the top of the window. Position the window on the lift rail.
6. Inspect the window for proper operation.
7. Install the rear door window inner belt sealing strip.
8. Install the rear door water deflector.
9. Install the rear door trim panel.
