Scan Tool Parameter

The scan tool DVD data display list will indicate button presses on the remote control.

* Make sure that the batteries in the remote control are fully charged.
* Make sure that the batteries in the remote control are installed properly.
* Install the scan tool.
* Play a DVD in the DVD player.
* Using DVD data display on the scan tool, monitor the button presses.

Replace the remote control as appropriate.

If the scan tool does not indicate the proper button presses when using a known good remote control, then replace the DVD Player. Refer to Video Disc Player Replacement.
