Gearshift Control Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback) (Service and Repair)Front Floor Console Replacement (Hatchback) (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the select and shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the gear shift control lever bolts and assembly.


Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

1. Install the gear shift control lever assembly and bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 4-7 N.m (35-62 lb in).

2. Adjust the select cables. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Connect the select and shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback) (Service and Repair)Front Floor Console Replacement (Hatchback) (Service and Repair).
