Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair



Rear Side Door Window Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement (Notchback) (Service and Repair)Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement (Hatchback) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the outside channel molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
3. Remove the interior rear door garnish molding.
4. Remove the screws and the exterior rear door garnish molding.




5. Remove the door seal trim. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the screws that secure the glass to the window regulator.




7. Remove the bolts and the guide rail.
8. Remove the glass from the door.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the glass in the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the guide rail and the bolts.

Tighten the guide rail bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).




3. Position the glass within the window regulator.
4. Install the glass screws.

Tighten the door glass screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).




5. Install the door seal trim. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the exterior rear door garnish molding with the screws.

Tighten the exterior rear door garnish molding screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

7. Install the interior rear door garnish molding.
8. Install the outside channel molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
9. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement (Notchback) (Service and Repair)Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement (Hatchback) (Service and Repair).
