Seat Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Place a protective cover over the sill plate and door trim panel.
2. Tilt the steering wheel full up position.
3. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .




4. Position the seat rearward.
5. Remove the push pins and covers from the front of the adjuster legs.
6. Remove the nuts from the front of the adjuster legs.
7. Position the seat forward.
8. Remove the nuts attaching the rear adjuster legs.
9. Disconnect the seat electrical connectors, if equipped with a power seat.
10. Remove the seat belt retaining nut and the seat belt from the anchor stud.
11. With the add of an assistant, remove the seat from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the seat on the rear studs.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the seat belt and the retaining nut to the seat stud.

Tighten the nut to 41 N.m (31 lb ft).

3. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped with a power seat.
4. Install the nuts to the rear studs.

Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

5. Move the seat rearward.
6. Install the nuts to the front adjuster legs.

Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

7. Install the adjuster leg covers.
8. Secure the covers with push pins.
9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .
