Exhaust Tail Pipe Flow Valve Vacuum Pipe Replacement - Reservoir Tank to Valve Solenoid
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the right inner tail lamp lens screw.
2. Remove the right inner tail lamp lens.
3. Working through the tail lamp opening, remove the flow control valve solenoid shield.
4. Disconnect the vacuum line fitting (1) from the flow control valve solenoid.
5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
6. Remove the screws (1) from the bottom of the rear fascia to gain access to the vacuum line fittings.
7. Disconnect the vacuum line fitting (2) from the vacuum tank.
8. Disconnect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
9. Remove the vacuum line from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the vacuum line to the vehicle.
2. Connect the vacuum line quick connect fitting (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
3. Connect the vacuum line fitting (2) to the vacuum tank.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
4. Install the rear fascia screws (1).
Tighten the rear fascia screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Connect the vacuum line fitting (1) to the flow control valve solenoid.
7. Install the flow control valve solenoid shield.
8. Install the right inner tail lamp lens.
9. Install the right tail lamp lens screw.
Tighten the tail lamp lens screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
