Transmission Fluid Cooler Upper Pipe Replacement - Rear to Differential Cooler
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
2. Lower and support the rear of the exhaust.
3. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
Important: Cap or plug the open transmission fluid cooler pipes immediately to prevent system contamination.
4. Disconnect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the transmission fluid cooler pipes clip.
6. Disconnect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the rear to differential cooler transmission fluid cooler upper pipe from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear to differential cooler transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the vehicle.
2. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
3. Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler upper pipe to the Differential oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the transmission fluid cooler pipes clip.
5. Check the transmission fluid level. Add fluid if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check (Transmission Fluid Check) .
6. Raise and secure the rear of the exhaust.
7. Remove the drain pan.
8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
