Theft Deterrent Alarm Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
3. Loosen the screw from the theft deterrent alarm.
4. Lift the alarm from the bracket.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the alarm.



Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electric connector to the theft deterrent alarm.
2. Install the alarm to the bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Tighten the screw on the alarm.

Tighten the screw to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the rear compartment.
