Front Seat Back Frame Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat assembly. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the seat back cushion cover and pad . Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .
3. Remove the hook and loop at the end of the seat cushion cover.
4. Remove the seat belt buckle pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
5. Disconnect the wire harness retainers from the seat back.




6. Remove the hinge nuts and bolts.




7. Remove the seat back frame from the lower seat assembly.
8. Transfer components as necessary.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the seat back frame to the lower seat assembly.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .


Important: Use a treat locking compound on the hinge bolts.


2. Install the hinge bolts and nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Connect the wire harness retainers to the seat back.
4. Install the seat belt buckle pretensioner. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement (Removal and Replacement) .
5. Install the hook and loop at the end of the seat cushion cover.
6. Install the seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .
7. Install the seat assembly. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
