Oil Tank Outlet Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals) .
2. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the right front wheelhouse rear liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Rear Liner) (Service and Repair)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Front Liner) (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the oil inlet/outlet hose bracket bolt.
Important: Anytime the oil tank inlet and outlet hoses are serviced, the oil seals must be replaced.
5. Remove the outlet hose to oil tank bolt (3) and disconnect the hose (2) from the oil tank. Discard the oil seal (1).
6. Remove the outlet hose to oil pan bolt (2) and disconnect the hose (3) from the oil pan. Discard the oil seal (1).
7. Remove the oil outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the oil outlet hose.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
2. Install the oil inlet/outlet hose bracket bolt.
Tighten the oil inlet/outlet hose bracket bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
3. Using a new oil seal (1) install the oil outlet hose (3) and bolt (2) to the oil pan.
Tighten the outlet hose to oil pan bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
4. Using a new oil seal (1) install the oil outlet hose (2) and bolt (3) to the oil pan.
Tighten the outlet hose to oil tank bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
5. Install the right front wheelhouse rear liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Rear Liner) (Service and Repair)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Front Liner) (Service and Repair) .
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Change the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (Service and Repair) .
