Battery Negative Cable Replacement



Battery Negative Cable Replacement (7.0L)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear compartment carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the passenger rear compartment front side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the negative cable ground bolt from the chassis.
5. Remove the negative battery cable.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the negative battery cable.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the negative cable ground bolt to the chassis.

Tighten the battery negative cable ground bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the passenger rear compartment front side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear compartment carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (Convertible) (Service and Repair) .
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
