Battery Replacement (7.0L)

Removal Procedure

1. Open the RH rear compartment storage bin to access the battery.




Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.




4. Remove the battery hold down retainer nuts and retainer.
5. Remove the battery.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the battery.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolts.

Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).





3. Connect the positive battery cable.

Tighten the positive battery cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (6.0L) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (7.0L) (Service and Repair) .
5. Close the RH rear compartment storage bin.
