Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement .




2. Remove the steering column lower trim cover bolts (2) from the steering column lower trim cover (1).
3. Disengage the steering column lower trim cover from the steering column upper trim cover.
4. Maneuver the steering column lower trim cover around the tilt lever to remove it




5. Remove the steering column upper trim cover (1) from the steering column.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the steering column upper trim cover (1) to the steering column.
2. Maneuver the steering column lower trim cover around the tilt lever and position it to the steering column upper trim cover.
3. Snap the steering column trim covers together.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

4. Install the steering column lower trim cover (1) and the steering column lower trim cover bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

5. Install the driver knee bolster panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement .
