Differential Cooler Fitting Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Lower and support the rear of the exhaust system.
3. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.




4. Disconnect the differential cooler line from the differential cooler. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting (Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting).
5. Remove the differential cooler fitting from the differential cooler.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the differential cooler fitting to the differential cooler.

* Tighten the 1/2 in fitting to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
* Tighten the 3/8 in fitting to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

2. Connect the differential cooler line to the differential cooler. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting (Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting).
3. Fill the differential fluid. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection (Procedures).
4. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
5. Raise and secure the rear of the exhaust system.
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
