J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (9C1, 9C3 Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD, 9C1, 9C3, GE47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).




2. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater pipe.

Note: Cap or plug the cooling components to prevent system contamination.

3. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater pipe.




4. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater core.
5. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater core.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect heater inlet hose (1) to the heater core.
2. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater inlet hose to the heater core clamp.




3. Install the heater inlet hose (1) to the heater pipe.
4. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe clamp.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (9C1, 9C3 Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD, 9C1, 9C3, GE47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).
