Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LS4-5.3L)

Tools Required

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (9C1, 9C3 Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD, 9C1, 9C3, GE47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).




2. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater outlet hose clamp to the heater pipe.
3. Remove the heater outlet hose (2) from the heater pipe.




4. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater outlet hose to the heater core clamp.
5. Remove the heater outlet hose (2) from the heater core.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect heater outlet hose (2) to the heater core.
2. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater outlet hose to heater core clamp.




3. Install the heater outlet hose (2) to the heater pipe.
4. Use J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers to reposition the heater outlet hose to the heater pipe clamp.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (9C1, 9C3 Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LGD, 9C1, 9C3, GE47716 Fill) (Service and Repair).
