- Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) Indicated Hardware Malfunction
Circuit/System Description
The engine control module (ECM) detects the EBCM has an internal malfunction.
Conditions for Running the DTC
Ignition ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
An internal EBCM Malfunction exists.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The antilock brake system (ABS) and vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) are disabled.
* The warning indicators will illuminate.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The condition for the DTC is no longer present.
* The ECM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
