Heater Inlet Rear and Outlet Hose Replacement

J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Cooling System Draining and Filling).
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair)




3. Disengage tension on the heater inlet rear and outlet hose clamps (1) at the heater core using J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
4. Remove the heater inlet rear and outlet hose (2) from the heater core.




5. Disconnect the heater inlet rear and outlet hose quick connect fittings (2) from the heater inlet and outlet hose fittings.
6. Remove the heater inlet rear and outlet hose (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install heater inlet rear and outlet hose to the vehicle.




2. Connect the heater inlet rear and outlet hose quick connect fittings (2) from the heater inlet and outlet hose fittings.





Note: Lubricate the inside diameters of the hose with clean coolant prior to installation.

3. Install the heater inlet rear and outlet hose (2) to the heater core.
4. Engage tension on the heater inlet rear and outlet hose clamps (1) at the heater coreusing J 38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers.
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair)
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Cooling System Draining and Filling).
