Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic procedure applies to serial data gauges located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) which include the engine coolant temperature gauge and the volt gauge.

Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, with the scan tool, perform the IPC Gauge Sweep Test in the IPC Output Controls. Verify that all gauge dials move from minimum to the gauge maximum value and back to the gauge minimum value.

If all the gauges do not perform the IPC Gauge Sweep Test, replace the IPC.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
