Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Remove the CKP sensor stud.
4. Remove the CKP sensor.
Installation Procedure
1. Lubricate the CKP sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Remove the CKP sensor.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
3. Remove the CKP sensor stud.
Tighten the stud to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the CKP sensor.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn Testing and Inspection.
