Gearshift Control Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback) (Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback)).
2. Disconnect the select and shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the gear shift control lever bolts (1) and assembly.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the gear shift control lever assembly and bolts (1) and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb in).
2. Adjust the select cables. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Connect the select and shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback) (Front Floor Console Replacement (Notchback)).
