- Control Module Fuel Injector Control Performance

Circuit/System Description

This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the engine control module (ECM).

Conditions for Running the DTC

* The engine is running or cranking.
* The ignition voltage is between 8-18 V.
* DTC P062B runs continuously when the conditions are met for greater than 500 mS.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects a condition with the integrated circuits of the fuel injector driver module or a short to ground on a fuel injector circuit for greater than 4 s, or a cumulative of 30 s.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTC P062B is a Type B DTC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

DTC P062B is a Type B DTC.

Circuit/System Verification

Test the fuel injector high voltage supply circuits and the fuel injector high voltage control circuits for a short to ground.

If all circuits test normal, replace the ECM.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
