Circuit/System Description

The telematic vehicle localization and immobilization control module DTCs listed above will set due to an internal module fault.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The telematic vehicle localization and immobilization control module must be in the normal operating mode.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

DTC B1010 or B1011

SIM card is detected as not present or the SIM card driver failed to access the SIM card

DTC B1012

SIM card driver is able to access the SIM card and wrong PIN was entered 2 times.

DTC B1013, B1014, or B1015, or B1017

GPS antenna is short to ground, GPS antenna is disconnected, a GPS communication error, or GSM antenna is short to ground or disconnected.

DTC B1016

The module detected a malfunction by network access device driver, which prevents GSM communication.

DTC B1018

The telematic vehicle localization and immobilization control module detects an internal malfunction.

B1019 or B1020

The telematic vehicle localization and immobilization control module detects a fault in the backup battery.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The telematic vehicle localization and immobilization control module may not be able to provide full GSM communication following the GSM Standard.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The current DTC will clear when the fault is no longer present.
