DTC Descriptor
DTC B0946 01
- Suspension Control Tour Selection Indicator Circuit Short to Battery
DTC B0946 06
- Suspension Control Tour Selection Indicator Circuit Open Circuit/Short to Ground
Circuit/System Description
The suspension control tour indicator is located in the suspension control selection switch. The suspension control selection switch allows the driver to change the state of the suspension from Tour to Sport.
Conditions for Running the DTC
Ignition ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The electronic suspension control module has detected that the tour suspension control indicator LED circuit is shorted to voltage for longer than 60 s.
* The electronic suspension control module has detected that the tour suspension control indicator LED circuit is shorted to ground or has an open circuit for longer than 60 s.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The Electronic Suspension Control will enter the speed dependent damping mode.
* Both left and right normal force outputs will be set to the default output states.
* The Electronic Suspension Control module illuminates the LED in the Electronic Suspension Control switch.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the malfunction is no longer present.
* The condition for the DTC is no longer present.

Circuit/System Verification
1. Verify that no other DTCs are present, if any other DTCs are present diagnose those DTCs prior to any circuit or component testing.
2. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool, activate the suspension control switch, the scan tool should change state from ON to OFF as the switch is toggled.
Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition ON, connect a scan tool and verify that the tour mode is activated.
2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the S109 Sport Mode Switch. Test for less than 5 ohms between the control circuit terminal 8 and ground.
• If greater than the specified range, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance.
• If the circuit test is normal , replace the K19 Suspension Control Module.
3. Ignition ON, Test for 4.8-5.2 V between the 5 V reference circuit terminal 3 and ground.
• If less than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If all circuit tests normal, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
• If greater than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
4. If all circuit tests normal, replace the S109 Sport Mode Switch.
