Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

EN-45059 - Angle Meter
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the left stabilizer shaft link nut (1).
3. Disconnect the stabilizer shaft link from the stabilizer shaft.
4. Remove the right stabilizer shaft link nut (1).
5. Disconnect the stabilizer shaft link from the stabilizer shaft.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts (1).
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamps (1).
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft assembly.
9. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators (1).
2. Install the stabilizer shaft assembly.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamps (1).
Note: Do not tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts until instructed.
4. Loosely install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts (1).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
5. Tighten the front stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).
6. Tighten the rear stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).
7. Connect the right stabilizer shaft link to the stabilizer shaft.
8. Install the right stabilizer shaft link nut (1) and using the EN-45059 - Angle Meter, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) + 30 degrees.
9. Connect the left stabilizer shaft link to the stabilizer shaft.
10. Install the left stabilizer shaft link nut (1) and using the EN-45059 - Angle Meter, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft) + 30 degrees.
