Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
The intrusion sensor detects movement within the vehicle while parked. B+ is supplied to the intrusion sensor at all times and the body control module (BCM) arms the sensor using the intrusion sensor armed signal circuit. If movement is detected while armed, BCM is informed via the intrusion sensor alarm on signal circuit. The BCM will then sound the content theft alarm.

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the intrusion sensor.
2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal A and ground.
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
3. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the BCM.
4. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the following signal circuit terminals and ground:
* Signal circuit terminal 2
* Signal circuit terminal 49
• If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
5. Test for infinite resistance between the following signal circuit terminals and ground:
* Signal circuit terminal 2
* Signal circuit terminal 49
• If less than the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
6. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal circuit terminal 2 at the BCM and the signal circuit terminal C at the inclination sensor.
• If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
7. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal circuit terminal 49 at the BCM and the signal circuit terminal B at the inclination sensor.
• If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
8. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the intrusion sensor.
