Customer Concern
Some customers may note that the tread life on Corvettes equipped with the Michelin PS Cup tire is very short.
Information
The Michelin PS CUP tire is designed especially for track use. The tire compound is specially formulated for grip and matched to the Corvettes with RPO PDE or Z07 suspension. Due to the soft nature of the tire customers can expect to see a much shorter tread life.
PS Cup tires use a special tread and compound that provides more grip than normal road tires. The minimum tread depth will be reached earlier than typical tires resulting in reduced tire life.
Important:
Special tread and compound used on Michelin PS Cup tires will decrease performance in cold climates, heavy rain, and standing water. Driving on wet roads, in heavy rain, or through standing water with Sport Cup tires may cause hydroplaning and loss of vehicle control. Use extreme caution and drive slowly on wet roads. Driving with Sport Cup tires on snow, ice, or cold road surfaces can cause loss of control or an accident. Sport Cup tires are a summer season tire and are not intended to be driven on snow, ice, or road surfaces below 10°C (50°F). Do not drive a vehicle with Sport Cup tires in these conditions.
Warranty
Due to the shorter expected tread life no warranty is extended by Michelin nor GM for any wear conditions or road hazards on this tire.
