Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEAD or PARK position, ground is applied to the park lamp switch ON signal circuit to the body control module (BCM). The BCM responds by applying voltage to the park lamps, tail lamps, and license lamps control circuits illuminating the park, tail, and license lamps.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* Battery voltage must be between 9-16 V.
* Park lamps ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
DTC B2585 01
The BCM detects a short to voltage in the left park lamps control circuit.
DTC B2585 02
The BCM detects a short to ground in the left park lamps control circuit.
DTC B2585 04
The BCM detects an open in the left park lamps control circuit.
DTC B3867 01
The BCM detects a short to voltage in the right park lamps control circuit.
DTC B3867 02
The BCM detects a short to ground in the right park lamps control circuit.
DTC B3867 04
The BCM detects an open in the right park lamps control circuit.
Actions Taken When the DTC Sets
The park lamps will not operate.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
* A history DTC will clear once 100 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles have occurred.

Circuit/System Testing
DTC B2585
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
2. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the F3DA (BCM 5) fuse B+ circuit terminal 3 and ground.
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
3. Reconnect the X2 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
4. Disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate park lamp.
5. Ignition OFF, exterior lamps OFF, test for less than 5 ohm between the appropriate ground circuit terminal listed below and ground:
* E4N left front park lamp - terminal C
* E2LF left front side marker lamp - terminal 2
* E5AA left tail/stop lamp - terminal 3
* E5E left tail lamp - terminal 3
* E2LR left rear side marker lamp - terminal 2
• If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
6. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate control circuit terminal listed below and ground:
* E4N left front park lamp - terminal A
* E2LF left front side marker lamp - terminal 1
* E5AA left tail/stop lamp - terminal 2
* E5E left tail lamp - terminal 2
* E2LR left rear side marker lamp - terminal 1
7. Ignition ON, command the Left Park Lamps ON and OFF with a scan tool. The test lamp should turn ON and OFF when changing between the commanded states.
• If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM.
• If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 BCM.
8. If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate park lamp.
DTC B3867
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
2. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the F24DA (BCM 2) fuse B+ circuit terminal 4 and ground.
• If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
3. Reconnect the X1 harness connector at the K9 BCM.
4. Disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate park lamp.
5. Ignition OFF, exterior lamps OFF, test for less than 5 ohm between the appropriate ground circuit terminal listed below and ground:
* E4P right front park lamp - terminal C
* E2RF right front side marker lamp - terminal 2
* E5AB right tail/stop lamp - terminal 3
* E5F right tail lamp - terminal 3
* E2RR right rear side marker lamp - terminal 2
• If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
6. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate control circuit terminal listed below and ground:
* E4P right front park lamp - terminal A
* E2RF right front side marker lamp - terminal 1
* E5AB right tail/stop lamp - terminal 2
* E5F right tail lamp - terminal 2
* E2RR right rear side marker lamp - terminal 1
7. Ignition ON, command the Right Park Lamps ON and OFF with a scan tool.
