Camshaft Position Actuator Adjuster Installation

EN-45059 - Torque Angle Sensor Kit

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution.

Note: A second technician is required.

1. Install the camshaft adjuster (3) and NEW camshaft adjuster bolts (2) and tighten the bolts in three passes:
Hold at the appropriate camshaft hexagon.

1. First pass tighten to 65 Nm (48 lb ft)
2. Second pass to 120° , using the EN-45059 - sensor kit
3. Third pass to 15° , using the EN-45059 - sensor kit

2. Install the 2 camshaft adjuster closure plugs (1) and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
