Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the boot trim plate (1) from the PRNDL trim plate (3).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
3. Remove the shift knob retaining screw (4).
4. Remove the shift knob and boot (1) from the shift control.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the shift knob and boot assembly (1) to the shift control.
2. Connect the electrical connector (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution

3. Install the shift knob retaining screw (4) and tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb in).
4. Install the boot to the console.
5. Verify operation of the tap up, tap down switch.
