Folding Top Rear Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure

Note: Apply a double layer of masking tape around the lower roof perimeter of the painted surfaces.

1. Place all the windows in the full down position.

2. Do not remove the folding top from the vehicle, place the folding top in a halfway open position.

Note: If the rear seal is being reused mark the center point of the rear seal to the center point of the number 5 bow with a grease pencil.

3. Number 5 bow should be in full view to remove the folding top rear seal.

4. Start on the left side (Driver Side) corner pull upward on the rear seal releasing it from the retaining edge of the number 5 bow.




5. Remove the folding top rear seal (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear seal (1) to the number 5 bow (2).

2. Align the center marks (3 ,4 ) of the number 5 bow (2) and rear seal (1), use the marks in step 3 of this procedure if needed.





Note: When installing the rear seal to the number 5 bow, feel for the retaining edge of the rear seal to lock into the number 5 bow track as it is being worked around the bow.

3. Start in the center of the number 5 bow, working left to right.

4. Install the folding top rear seal (1) into the retaining edge (2) of the track of the number 5 bow (3).

Note: Ensure that the rear seal is fully seated to the center of the number 5 bow and both end of the rear seal is equal before closing the folding top.

5. Work the folding top rear seal (1) back and forth in a rocking motion this will assist in fully seating the rear seal in the track (2).

6. Place the folding top in the lock position and check for appearance and fit.

7. Inspect the front edge of the folding top to windshield upper frame for a good seal.

8. Water test the vehicle to ensure a proper water tight seal.
