Limited Slip Differential Assemble




1. Install the shim (4) on the on the side gear (5).

2. Install the clutch pack (3) on the side gear (5).

Note: When installing the thrust washer, ensure that the crown or bevel on the thrust washer is facing up (toward the differential case).

3. Install the clutch disc thrust preload spring washer (2).




4. Install the side gear assembly (1) in the differential case (2).




5. Install the thrust washers (4), pinion gears (3), pinion shaft (2), and the lock pin (1) in the differential housing (5).




6. Position the side gear assembly (1) on the pinion gear assembly (2).




7. Install the differential case halves (1).





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

Note: Start the differential case bolts by hand and tighten in an alternating sequence.

8. Install the differential case bolts in and tighten in sequence to 74 Nm (55 lb ft).
