Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Service and Repair.

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture Engine Support Fixture for the 1.4L engine or Engine Support Fixture Engine Support Fixture for the 1.8L engine.

4. Lower the vehicle.





5. Remove and DISCARD 3 transmission mount bolts (1).





6. Remove 2 transmission mount bolts (1, 3) and transmission mount nut (2).





7. Remove the transmission mount (1).





8. Remove 3 transmission mount bracket bolts (1).

9. Remove the transmission mount bracket (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transmission mount bracket (2).

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install 3 transmission mount bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).





3. Install the transmission mount (1).





4. Install 2 transmission mount bolts (1, 3) and tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb ft).

5. Install the transmission mount nut (2) and tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb ft).





Caution:
Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution.

6. Install 3 NEW transmission mount bolts (1) and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft) plus 60-75 degrees.

7. Raise the vehicle.

8. Remove the engine support fixture.

9. Lower vehicle.

10. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement Service and Repair.
