Air Valve Spring Wind-Up

Fig. 13 Air valve spring wind-up adjustment:

Loosen lock screw using suitable hex wrench, then turn adjusting screw counterclockwise until air valve partially opens, Fig. 13. Turn adjusting screw clockwise until air valve just closes, then continue turning screw clockwise the number of turns listed in the Specification Chart. After adjustment is complete, apply lithium base grease to contact area of spring.
