Dust intrusion into the cab area may be experienced on some 1988 C/K models. If this condition occurs, filters for the pressure relief valves on the door inner panels are now available. The filters, attaching screws and instructions are available in kit P/N 15551650 from GMSPO.
The following are the instructions for installing the filters.
FIGURE 1:
^ Place filter over pressure relief valve louvers with edge of filter in line with edge of door as shown in Figure 1.
Notice: Foam side of the filter should be toward the sheet metal.
^ After filter is positioned, mark filter attachment hole locations on door inner panel.
^ Using a 1/16" drill bit, drill a starter hole at each location.
^ Attach filter and tighten screws (4 screws/filter).
