MODELS: 1988 C/K MODELS WITH 117 MM MANUAL TRANSMISSION (OPT M20)
Some 1988 C/K trucks equipped with 117 mm manual transmissions may experience a shift lever rattle or buzz condition in any gear. The rattle/buzz can be repaired by installing a new shift lever which has an isolator to absorb the noise and vibrations associated with this condition.

*The new shift lever can be identified by the one bend in it (at the floor) versus the former shift lever which has a bend at both the floor and at the shift knob.
