Service Procedure

A. MAKING CLEARANCE CUTOUT IN SPLASH SHIELD








1. Make template for cutout using dimensions shown in Figures 2 & 3.





2. Using appropriate template, mark cutout area on splash shield on both left and right sides of vehicle. Location of cutouts is shown in Figure 1.

3. Remove marked cutout area as shown in figure 1. Splash shield is made of rubber and cutout can be made using heavy duty shears, saber saw, or other appropriate cutting tool.

B. FRONT BRAKE HOSE REMOVAL AND BRAKE BLEEDING

1. Replace front brake hoses with appropriate parts listed above. Refer to 1988 C/K Pickup Truck Service Manual Section 5A, pages 6-8 for procedure.

2. Bleed brake system referring to 1988 C/K Pickup Truck Service Manual Section 5A, pages 5-6 for procedure.

3. Install Campaign Identification Label.
