Model and Year: 1987-90 POSTAL VEHICLES (LLV)



Some of the above postal vehicles are experiencing excessive front tire wear. To alleviate this problem, and reduce tread wear, the following revised camber and toe-in specifications (see table 1) have been developed.

INSPECTION BEFORE ALIGNMENT

Before making any adjustments affecting caster, camber, or toe-in, the normal front end inspections should be made. (Refer to Section 3 of the Light Duty Service Manual.)

IMPORTANT: Tires should be checked for proper inflation (50 psi is the specification of the LLV). Due to the severe duty cycle of the LLV a 3 month or 5,000 mile rotation is recommended. (See Figure 1.)
