Servo Assembly Replace

1. Remove valve body from transmission as outlined previously.

2. Compress servo piston with tool J 23075 or equivalent.

3. Using a suitable pair of pliers, remove servo piston snap ring, and slowly loosen the tool. Remove tool, servo piston, return spring and apply rod.

4. Install apply rod, return spring and piston into case

5. Use tool J-26075 to compress spring and install snap ring.

6. With suitable 3/16 inch wrench on servo a sting bolt, adjust apply rod by torquing bolt to 40 in lbs, back off bolt exactly 5 turns, then tighten lock-nut while holding apply rod in position.

7. Install servo cover and new gasket, if equipped, then torque cover attaching screws to 18 lb ft

8. Install valve body.
