Some 1985-89 C, K, R, V, G and P-trucks with a 6.2L diesel engine may experience a "no start" condition when cold.
The electronic glow plug controller, P/N 12052153 (color coded black), may be responsible for a no start condition.
If a no start condition exists, refer to the diagnostic procedure listed in Dealer Service Bulletin # 88-49, dated October 1987. Should a new glow plug controller be required, based on your diagnosis, the following controller should be used.
