Clearing Trouble Codes

1. To clear trouble codes using the scan tool, proceed as follows:
a. Select function ``F2'' for trouble codes.
b. Scan tool will ask ``CLEAR ABS CODES,'' answer yes.
c. Scan tool will now read ``DISPLAY CODE HISTORY. DATA? ``LOST'' IF CODES CLEARED. ``NO'' TO CLEAR CODES. Answer ``NO'' and codes will be cleared.
2. Trouble codes will clear by themselves, if no fault code occurs for 100 drive cycles (a drive cycle occurs when ignition is turned ``ON'' and vehicle is driven faster than 10 mph).
