Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Upper Air Intake Duct:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the upper air intake duct clamp (1).
2. Remove the air cleaner mounting bolts (2).
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly (3).

- Inspect the seals for damage.
- Inspect the air cleaner element for damage or excessive dirt accumulation. Replace any part as necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the air cleaner assembly (3).
2. Install the upper intake duct clamp (1).

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 4 Nm (40 lb. in).

3. Install the air cleaner mounting bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 11 Nm (100 lb. in.).
