Clutch Switch: Description and Operation

Clutch Pedal Position Switch (M/T Only)
The Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch is closed when the clutch pedal is depressed. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives a voltage signal from the CPP switch when the CPP switch is closed and the ignition switch is in the Start (crank) position. The starter motor solenoid also receives an input from the CPP switch.
