Preliminary Checking Procedure

The condition of an automatic transmission not operating properly may be influenced by one or a combination of the following items:
^ The fluid level is high or low.
^ The engine performance.
^ The Throttle Valve (TV) Cable adjustment, Refer to "TV Cable Adjustment" in Throttle Valve Cable (Kick Down Cable).
^ The shift select cable adjustment.
