Vacuum Modulator Valve Assembly Installation

^ Tools Required
- J 21426 Vacuum Modulator Wrench





1. Install the modulator valve sleeve (114) small end first. The tab must engage the slot in the modulator valve bore.
2. Install the modulator valve (115).
3. Install the modulator valve plunger (116).
4. Install a new seal (117) onto the vacuum modulator (118).





5. Install the vacuum modulator (118) into the transmission case using J 21426.
^ Tighten the vacuum modulator (118) to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Use of another tool to remove the vacuum modulator may result in internal damage to the modulator.
