Reverse Brake Piston Removal

^ Tools Required
- J 41681 Clutch Spring Compressor
- J 23327 Clutch Spring Compressor





1. Remove the brake apply cover bolts.
2. Remove the brake apply cover.





3. Compress the reverse brake piston using the J 41681 and the J 23327.
4. Remove the snap ring.





5. Cover the reverse brake piston with a clean cloth.
6. Slowly apply low pressure compressed air to the fluid passage B (2) while holding the fluid passage A (1) closed until the following components are forced out of the transmission:
^ The outer reverse brake piston
^ The reaction sleeve
^ The inner reverse brake piston

7. Remove the piston O-ring seals.
