Rear Transmission Mount
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Support the transmission with a suitable hydraulic jack.
3. Remove one bolt and the ground wire from the speedometer driven gear case.
4. Temporarily install the speedometer driven gear case retaining bolt.
5. Remove the two bolts from the rear transmission mount (1).
6. Remove the four bolts and the rear transmission crossmember from the vehicle.
7. Remove one bolt and the rear transmission mount (2) from the extension case (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear transmission mount (2) to the extension case (1). Secure with one bolt.
^ Tighten the rear transmission mount bolt to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the rear transmission crossmember to the vehicle. Secure with four bolts.
^ Tighten the rear transmission crossmember bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the two bolts (2) to the rear transmission mount.
^ Tighten the rear transmission mount bolts (2) to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the speedometer driven gear case retaining bolt.
5. Install the ground wire to speedometer driven gear case. Secure with one bolt.
^ Tighten the speedometer driven gear case retaining bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
6. Remove the hydraulic jack from underneath the transmission.
7. Lower the vehicle.
