Blower Motor and Fan Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Vehicles equipped with the 6.5L diesel, cut the blower motor sound insulator to gain access to the blower motor.

1. Remove the electrical connectors at the blower motor.
2. Remove the retaining screws (4) from the blower motor.
3. Remove the blower motor (3) from the case (1).
4. Remove the retaining clip from the fan cage.
5. Remove the fan cage (2) from the blower motor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fan cage (2) to the blower motor (3).
2. Install the retaining clip to the fan cage.
3. Install the blower motor to the case (1).
4. Install the retaining screws (4) to the blower motor.
5. Install the electrical connectors at the blower motor.
6. Secure the blower motor insulator, if equipped with a 6.5L diesel.
7. Verify the circuit operation.
