Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Lower

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s).
2. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP) cluster trim bezel.
3. Remove the following, depending on how equipped:
^ The IP cupholder cover (shown).
^ The IP cupholder.
^ The floor console extension.




4. Lower the trim panel compartment and remove the straps (1).




5. Remove the screws connecting the lower trim panel to the IP assembly.




6. Disconnect the following electrical connections:
^ The power outlet ports (1, 2).
^ The ashtray lamp (3).
^ The IP compartment lamp, if equipped.
7. Remove the lower trim panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Connect the following electrical components:
^ The power outlet ports (1, 2).
^ The ashtray lamp (3).
^ The IP compartment lamp, if equipped.




2. Install the screws connecting the lower trim panel to the IP assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




3. Raise and attach the straps (1) holding the lower trim panel compartment.




4. Install the following, depending on how equipped:
^ The IP cupholder cover (shown).
^ The IP cupholder.
^ The floor console extension.

5. Install the IP cluster trim bezel.
6. Connect the negative battery cable(s).
